On September 27, 1996, the bodies of former Afghan president Mohammed Najibullah and his brother Ahmadzai swung from a traffic post in a busy Kabul road. These Soviet puppets were dragged out from a UN compound and hung in front of the presidential building by Taliban fighters.

That day, Taliban(Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan) forces seized Kabul from the notorious commander, Ahmad Shah Massoud and his troops; a victory that marked the start of five years of Islamic rule in Afghanistan.
